Economic Development

Johnson County Fiscal Court is excited to announce the use of Local Government Economic Development Program (LGEDP) funds to purchase a 15.1-acre property located near Ben Tire at Hagerhill to be developed and marketed as an industrial site. The fiscal court has thoroughly vetted the property over the past few months and has determined that the site is appropriate for light industrial use. Next steps will include completing the Build Ready Kentucky Certification, which will allow the property to be marketed by the Economic Development Cabinet, as well as including the construction of a building pad and creation of a virtual spec building.

For additional information about the site, please contact County Judge/Executive, Mark McKenzie at 606-789-2550 or mmckenzie@johnsoncountyky.com
